Creative New Zealand asking for comments on its Draft Strategic Plan

Creative New Zealand is asking New Zealanders for their feedback on its 2004 - 2007 draft strategic plan, which incldes its vision, purpose, priorities and how it will achieve these priorities. According to company Chair Peter Biggs, "Our vision for the next three years again acknowledges that the arts are essential in our lives, and that the artistic work of this country is excellent and distinctive."

Peter Biggs and Creative New Zealand Chief Executive Elizabeth Kerr will be giving presentations about the strategic plan in a number of locations throughout May, with discussions to follow the talks. Presentations will be held at:

Dunedin Public Art Gallery: Thursday, 6 May at 5.30pm.
Auckland City Art Gallery: Wednesday, 12 May at 5.30pm.
Christchurch Art Gallery: Thursday, 27 May at 5.30pm.
City Gallery Wellington: Tuesday, 1 June at 5.30pm.

If you wish to attend any of the events, please RSVP to Jenny Stott at jennys@creativenz.govt.nz at least a week in advance.

Please forward your feedback and comments on the Plan to Creative New Zealand by 4 June 2004. A copy of the Plan can be requested from any Creative New Zealand office or by downloading it here.
